Homemade BBQ That Brings Herrin Together
Chuck's Bar-B-Q first opened in 1952 on the north end of Herrin as a car-hop restaurant. For the past 12 years, it’s been at its current spot, where Ryan Jeralds took ownership in 2013 after training with Chuck and Janice Shahadey. Join us for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and enjoy favorites like the Breakfast Special, BBQ sandwich, cheeseburgers, ribs, and more. We’re keeping Chuck’s classics and adding new items soon!
Our Barbecue Tradition
Barbecue is more than food—it’s a way of life. Every rib, sandwich, and catfish plate we make follows the same approach: slow cooking, quality ingredients, and honest flavor. We believe in keeping things simple and doing them right.
Serving Families Every Day
From busy parents grabbing dinner to friends catching up over BBQ nachos, we wanted a place where everyone feels welcome. Our restaurant has a relaxed, friendly vibe that makes you feel like you’ve been here before—even on your first visit.
What Makes Us Different
Chuck’s BBQ isn’t just about great food—it’s about great service. We offer catering for events of any size and a kids’ menu that families love. No matter how you order—dine in, takeout, or delivery—we make sure everything is hot, fresh, and made with care.
Why You Should Visit
We’re proud to call Herrin home, and we’re even prouder to serve the people who live here. At Chuck’s BBQ, every meal is cooked to share the warmth of real comfort food. Come visit us at 1420 South Park Avenue and see why so many people call us their favorite BBQ spot in town.
